Burlington Resources relocated from Seattle, Washington to Houston, Texas. We were asked to design their new corporate headquarters that consisted of eight-floors in one of the Galleria Towers. The program was to create an office for an oil and gas company unlike any other in Houston. Due to security concerns from the Meridian Oil days, a third internal staircase was added on all eight-floors. Since the space consisted of all private offices, a sidelight was added to all doors in the exterior offices. Custom pattern carpet was used in the hallways and offices. A 7° rotation anchored the plans for all eight-floors. The top floor housed the executive suites and a conferencing center, including the board room and a full dining room. We were asked to help select the napkins, linens, china, crystal and silverware for the dining room. Inventure was also asked to work with the art consultant on procuring art for all eight-floors. Every managerial and executive office received at least one custom piece of art. A state-of-the-art computer server room and trading floor was also part of the project.
