This small, thriving law firm bought a building in a historic downtown area. A reevaluation of the design-build plan was necessary for renovations and the addition of a new stairwell, elevator and restrooms. The team expertly designed the additions to satisfy the Historical Preservation Society and to comply with building codes. A new roof, doors and windows completed the exterior renovation.
An exposed brick separation wall was left intact and acid washed, thus providing a design feature in one of the partners' offices. The team used millwork detailing to evoke a nostalgic feeling, while incorporating modern conveniences.
